The Annunciation is a surrealist film about the biblical creation story and is based on Imre Madách's 1861 dramatic work The Tragedy of Man.
The film begins with Adam (Péter Bocsor) and Eve (Júlia Mérö) in the Garden of Eden. They are tempted by the angel Lucifer and they eat from the tree of knowledge, after which they are expelled from paradise. Adam demands that the angel Lucifer keep his promise to "reveal all things" to him. Lucifer shows Adam in a dream what impact they will have through their offspring....
